Steps to Become a Notary in Alabama
To become a notary public in Alabama, make sure you meet the eligibility requirements listed in the previous section, then follow the steps below. Step 1- Complete and submit a notary application.
Submit a notary application to your local probate judge for review, along with a copy of your driver’s license and the $10 application fee. Once approved, you will receive a notice of approval from the Probate Judge requesting proof of the course completion certificate and a $50,000 notary bond.
Step 2- Complete a notary training course.
